Fifth Element is rooted in Hip Hop’s fifth element—Knowledge of Self and Community—and expands beyond the culture into the broader human experience. It centers and uplifts the voices and views of young people across the diaspora, particularly those who have been historically marginalized. Fifth Element envisions the creation of new, liberatory worldviews that challenge and resist exclusionary narratives. Staying true to Hip Hop’s essence, it is a multimedia, interdisciplinary educational experience that engages learners through creativity, critical reflection, and cultural expression.
